Because there are several I'd like to dislike,

ESPECIALLY this one

It's rude.

Second Bedroom

We finally finished the second bedroom this weekend.

I've been putting off painting the window boxes for a while,

they've been done for about two weeks.

I finished the shades about two weeks ago too.

But we finally painted it and put the shades up!

I love the fabric for these windows!

As you can see, we inherited an actual bed for this room, visitors are welcome!

In other news, my sweet husband has been up to a lot as well!

He's currently rewiring our master bathroom,

he's adding in some vent fans and some more lights.

And he installed a new dishwasher, the other one was awful!

He's so wonderful! I'm so lucky to have him! 

I love him!

Blog Question #3

So just recently I've noticed that if someone leaves a comment on my blog the font size is SO small!

So small it is almost impossible to read it,

luckily for me, they are emailed to my inbox so I can read it there,

but unfortunately for everyone else they are really really small!

I've tried to figure out how to change the font size for the comments, but I just can't figure it out.

So if someone knows and they could shed a little light on this,

that would be great!

Master Bedroom

I realized I never showed our master bedroom.

It isn't quite finished yet, we still need to paint the inside of the window frame,

but I thought I would show you the wall colors.

 We only painted the one wall that color,

all the other walls are the cream color we've used throughout the house.

I can't believe the difference paint and trim make!

I love seeing everything come together!

Twice in one day!

Today was unlike any other.

I almost burned down our home TWICE today!

Twice!

Here are the stories.

Number 1:

I had to leave early today so I decided I'd make some toast and take it with me.

Our toaster is super finicky!

If you move it above light light light it will burn it!

And I mean burn it!

Well, today it was set on the light light light setting.

I set it, go back to the bathroom, and blow dry my hair.

It takes a while to blow dry my hair,

then I start putting my curlers in.

This is like 5-8 minutes later.

THEN I hear my toast pop up!

I finish up my hair,

go out, and my entire kitchen and living room is FILLED with smoke!

And this is why:

A funny side note to this is that I was listening to the radio and they were giving some new stories and one started with, "A toaster is believed to be the cause of a fire..." I kind of freaked out!

But luckily for me, it turned out to be in an entirely different city.

Number 2:

I came home for lunch and made some mac and cheese.

I'm almost finished,

I turn it on low so I can do the final steps.

I eat my lunch and head back to work.

Around 4:30 (about 4 hours later) I got a text message from my sweet husband.

He told me I LEFT THE GAS STOVE ON!

Wow.

I'm so glad our home is still in tact and we can laugh these ones off.

Command Central

Lately I've had this real urge to get organized.

I think it has to do with the fact that our home has been a mess for some time now

due to all our remodel projects.

Don't get me wrong,

where we are remodeling still is a mess.

But I enjoy having little pockets of places organized.

Some day they everything will be!

But onto the reason of today's post.

Wednesday was a really slow day at work,

so slow I read TWO Better Homes and Gardens Magazines.

The January issue had all these great ideas about organization.

The one I liked the best was this "command central binder".

Basically it is a simple way to organize all those papers you don't know what to do with 

because you need them fairly regularly.

Or you just don't know what to do with.

They even have a wonderful guide that you can download so you can make one yourself!

I knew it was a success when my sweet husband said in awe when I showed it to him,

"Now that is organization!"

Dinner Menu

One of my New Year's Resolutions is to have a dinner menu for the week,

so then when I get home from work I don't have to spend an hour figuring out what to make for dinner.

I looked around online for some ideas and then decided I'd just make my own.

I made it on picnik.com.

Then I sent it to Costco's photo lab because they are super cheap!

I got a 16x20 copy of it, then I found a cute frame to put it in and now I'm good to go!
