Summer Yard Fun

 Thanks to hard work, good craigslist finds, gifts, and labors of love our yard changed quite a bit this year!

My Sweet Husband worked really hard on our lawn this year to get it looking much better 

(this was when it was looking sad).

  We found a trampoline for an awesome deal on craigslist, Sweet Girl LOVES it!

Our friends gave us this adorable playhouse.

Sweet Girl can play in it for hours!

 My Sweet Husband and my Dad and brother put in a sidewalk all around our grass.

Trying to be like Daddy!

One of my favorite things is seeing my Sweet Husband and our Sweet Girl together!

That little girl has her Daddy wrapped around her little finger!

And I love it SO much!

Sweet Girl is very independent and loves to do everything we are doing!

 She helped Daddy with the windows,

she really thought she should use the drill.

All in good time Sweet Girl!

 Another time my Sweet Husband helped the Scouts go rappelling and rock climbing,

Sweet Girl really wanted to do that too.

 She's a good helper in the yard...

 (that smile is my favorite!)

   

And of course, she must BYU football with Daddy!

Birthday Girl!

I hit a slump where I couldn't figure out what I needed to blog about.

So I looked to see what I had last blogged about and I'm not sure how I did it,

but I forgot to blog about Sweet Girl's Birthday!

I love birthdays!

 I didn't feel like throwing a huge party since she won't remember it (no judgment, I'm just lazy),

so we decided to do things that we all like!

Sweet Girl LOVES water! And she loves the boat.

So we decided to go to the lake on her birthday, we had planned to go two days but it was SUPER windy the first day. So we ended up just playing in the water that day. 

Her actual birthday was a gorgeous day!

  After the lake we had a family party.

 No birthday is complete without CAKE!

Sweet Girl LOVES raspberries,

so I thought it was fitting to make her chocolate raspberry birthday cake.

This is the cake that everyone ate

 And this is Sweet Girl's personal cake.

It is tradition on both sides of our family for the one year old to get their own cake.

She LOVED it! She first picked off the raspberries one by one and then started out slowly but gained speed once she realized there were raspberries inside the cake too!

Both cakes were had two layers with raspberries and frosting in between.

 After the cake she went straight to her bath.

Then it was bedtime.

I think she had a great birthday!

She got to share it with both sets of grandparents, some aunts and uncles, great great aunts and uncles, and mommy and daddy,

I think that makes it a great day in her book!

I know it does in mine!

That weekend my sister took a few family pictures for us. 

I love how they turned out for impromptu family pictures (aka didn't really plan what we wore)

Easter 2015

My parents came down a few days before Easter,

Mom was on spring break and Dad didn't have to work,

and my sister and brother-in-law needed them to tow their car back.

It was fun to have them here for a few days.

The morning after they got here we had to have donuts, 

we have a really good donut place here!

So these donuts are now a tradition whenever my parents come.

Sweet Girl thought it was pretty neat to get a taste.

 We also have a yummy bakery, so we went there for lunch.

 All that food made us tired, so then we needed a nap... lol, I love how Sweet Girl's legs are in the air!

 Sweet Girl headed to my parent's house Friday for Easter weekend with my parents and then Sweet Husband drove down later that day after work.

We stopped and got Sweet Girl some flip-flops, seriously they are so cute!

She liked them so much I couldn't get her to stop kicking enough for a picture of both of them... lol!

 When we got to my parent's house we had to get a picture of Sweet Girl with her pineapple onsie and Uncle C's Psych phone case, in honor of him (he's on a mission).

 Saturday we went and did some yard work,

the weather wasn't supposed to be very good, but it was BEAUTIFUL!

I mean, look at that water!

The water was pretty cold, but with a wetsuit it was okay.

 Sweet Girl loved the boat!

(and tolerated the life jacket)

 After we got home we watched General Conference,

and Sweet Girl played... and ate Daddy's toes... so gross! lol, she loves feet, so weird!

 This picture cracks me up,

I'm not sure why she's crying, probably because we stopped her from eating Daddy's toes.

 Sunday morning started with our annual Easter Basket Hunt.

First off we had to get our annual group picture.

Thanks to my brother and sister's Go Pro, we got everyone in the picture!

 Sweet Girl loved her Easter basket!

I love her sneaky face in this picture and my Sweet Husband's adorable smile!

 Especially the cellophane... don't worry, I stopped her from eating it right after the picture.

 Such a happy girl!

 Sweet Girl got a few books in her basket,

she LOVES books!

 And apparently Sweet Girl also loves babies!

 Altoids boxes, aunts, uncles,

(my sweet sister-in-law and brother-in-law came down and celebrated Easter with us, it was really fun to have them with us!) 

 and sleeping during conference.

Sweet Girl's first Easter was a success!
