Oops!

Just a quick funny story for the day!

So the other day I was wanting to find a remedy to remove arm pit stains,

they are ugly, gross, and embarrassing.

So I looked on pinterest because I know I saw one on there a while ago when I looked last.

So I search and find one.

I often find websites and leave them open on my computer for a while and then after I get sick of looking at them I email them to myself so I'll remember them.

So I had this website open for a while and decide to email it to myself.

Okay, picture this:

I'm sitting next to Scott, it's time to get ready for bed, so I'm kind of in a hurry.

I open up my email, I copy the website,

at this point I'm feeling cool because I'm doing it so quickly.

I go to select who I'm going to send it to, 

in gmail you can start typing and it pops up for you.

So I type the first letter of my name, I select it, I copy in the website, I type, "stain remover" in the subject, I hit send.

Yes, 10 seconds, I'm done!

Then this is our conversation:

My sweet husband says, "Who is so and so,"

(I can't remember her name, because I honestly have no idea who it is and how she got into my contacts).

I say, "I don't know, why?"

"Because you just sent that to her."

"No, I sent it to myself."

"No, you sent it to her! You need to write her back and tell her you don't think she has sweaty pits!"

Me... in total shock and horror, "Oh my goodness!"

I quickly type an apology and resend it, to MYSELF this time.

P.S. I have this cool gadget on my email that allows me to undo a sent message, 

but it took me too long to believe that I sent it to the wrong person, so I couldn't undo what I'd just done!

However, after trying the stain remover, it worked like a champ!

Art Museum

This last weekend we went and visited a really neat art museum near us!

We've thought about stopping several times, but it never worked out.

We finally made time for it this last weekend.

It was really beautiful!

The art was wonderful, but to be honest, 

my favorite part were the grounds and the building themselves. 

I tried taking a picture of us before we got on the tram... this is what I got.

Lol, this was the best I could get

 We saw some deer in the middle of the city! If you look really close you can see them.

Then we spent the night at my sweet in-laws' home.

The next morning we went to the temple and did sealings.

We were supposed to be going for our ward sealing assignment... turns out they told us the wrong time.

We still had a wonderful time anyways!

I'm so grateful we can be sealed to our loved ones and be with them forever!

What a blessing it is to be a member of this gospel!

Operation Laundry Room Part 1

I think I mentioned before that we decided to turn our breezeway into two different halves, one half being a laundry room/pantry and the other half more of the garage.

Well, if not, consider yourselves in the loop.

So lately my sweet husband has been working hard at that.

First he jack hammered out the old concrete

 Then we dug out the old concrete he broke up,

then he and a friend dug the footings.

Then we drilled holes into the existing concrete, using a hammer drill, so we could put rebar 

into them to reinforce and connect the old and the new.

Then my sweet husband cut the rebar.

I helped with most of the other things, but this one kind of terrified me.

I enjoyed watching.

 It looked really cool, but you had to hold it just right or the sparks would fly back at you...

yeah, no thanks, I'll let you do it honey.. lol

Then he pounded them in.

 Then this last Saturday we rented a tow behind cement mixer and poured the footings. 

 He would pour it into the wheelbarrow and then wheel it to wherever we needed it (it was super heavy),

then I would shovel it in.

Sorry, I don't have pictures of the entire process with the cement because I left right after we finished pouring the cement, I went to a baby shower.

So you'll have to use your imagination.

It was our first time pouring cement. 

We both had watched others do it, 

but had never really done it ourselves, so it was definitely a learning experience.

But I think it turned out fine and the best part is no one will ever really see it.. after this I guess.. lol.

Now they are ready for us to frame the walls!

Getting closer!

To adopt you and your spouse have to fill out a lot of paperwork and do a bit of stuff.

We are almost finished!

Two sets of Fingerprints for two people...check!

Two Dr appointments (one for each)... check!

One chest x-ray (only for my sweet husband)... check!

Phase one of our five phases of online stuff... check!

Phase two... almost check!

Printed out paperwork... almost check!

We still need to do 10 hours of parenting classes,

get first aid/cpr training,

have our home inspection,

and finish phase three, 

the other two phases are finding a child and placement!

SO CLOSE!

Just yesterday at work I was helping a lady with glasses and she told me that she and her husband had adopted two boys and they are trying to adopt another!

So we talked about adoption for a little bit, I told her that my husband and I were in the process of adopting.

It's neat how Heavenly Father allows little tender mercies to happen, to help us know that He cares about us and what is happening in our lives!

After she left I thought about all these questions I should have asked her, or would have liked to ask her.

But some of them were probably too personal for someone I just met and only talked to for about 30 minutes.. lol.

Another tender mercy I've seen while we've been working on stuff is my sweet husband.

His desire to be a father melts my heart!

I love watching him with our sunbeams, our nieces and nephew, and all our little cousins.

He's so good with them!

I'm excited to see him with our children!

Baptism Weekend

The last weekend in June we were able to go to my sweet in-law's home 

and go to my sweet husband's cousin's baptism!

I was really excited to go because I hadn't met most of the people coming to the baptism.

I met the parents of the cousin getting baptized in passing at my sweet husband's mission farewell.

But I was seriously on my way out the door and said hi and bye.

So it was fun to actually meet them and say talk with them for a while.

On Friday, my in-laws, my sweet husband, and I went to a baseball game.

President Uchtdorf threw an honorary first pitch!

Alex Boye sang the National Anthem and God Bless America during the 7th inning stretch!

Side note: I thought that was really funny because he's from England, but he's probably a citizen, who knows.  Cracked me up though.

We saw a proposal during the 7th inning stretch.

This guy's picture cracked me up, it's more like a grimace. 

Then on Saturday we met a cousin and her family, she and her husband have 5 children.

Two sets of twins (three boys and a girl) and another little girl.

They were super cute!

Then we went and had lunch at my favorite sandwich shop there and ran an errand.

Then we headed to the baptism!

I played the piano at the baptism 

(it was the start of my share my talents weekend... 

I played the organ in Sacrament Meeting, I was pretty terrified, but I think it went well).

Then we went to a park in Grammy's neighborhood and had a BBQ!
