Wow, I've been quite the slacker!
But in our defense, we've been super busy!
Here are a few things we've been up to lately.
Not too long after we installed our new front door, we decided we should make curtains for the window because at night you can see right into our living room. So I finally made some curtains.
I didn't want to drill holes into the door so I used two 3M hooks and a metal rod, and it works like a champ!
One day as I was driving home from work I noticed something yellow in our yard....
daffodils!
One nice thing that the previous owners did was apparently plant some daffodils. Right next two it more of the leafy green parts are coming up but haven't bloomed. Last year, I think only the green part came up so we kind of thought it was a weed...lol.
Even thought they are surrounded by weeds, I really love looking at them!
We've also been working on our laundry room, last night my sweet husband put up most of the insulation!
We were going to put up the insulation on Saturday,
but it was SO nice outside we decided we'd rather work outside.
So we went to a local tree farm and bought two trees,
one for each planter.
After we brought them home we weeded the planters, laid down weed fabric to keep the weeds away, and put bark on top of the fabric.
We kind of ran out of bark... lol
My sweet husband picked up a few more bags on Monday, but it still wasn't quite enough... lol.
It's amazing how green our grass looks with the bark next to it now!
Speaking of green,
in honor of St. Patrick's Day, we had a green breakfast.
We didn't go all out because after all... neither of us are Irish... lol!
But it was still fun!
