Christmas Eve and Christmas Morning 2016

Christmas Eve was really productive at our home this year.

We meant to have a big dinner and read the nativity and watch a fun Christmas show together as a family,

but the day really got away from us. 

Sweet Girl and my Sweet Husband played in the snow for a while. 

Sweet Girl loved to eat the snow!

 Sweet Girl insisted on an entire family, 

you have to look closely but there is a mom, a dad, and a baby.

My Sweet Husband said she wanted more people, but he was getting tired.. lol!

 I went outside with them for a little bit, but since I don't have snow clothes that fit at the moment I opted to go in and make hot chocolate for all of us.

They still let me be part of the snowball fight.. lol, look above my Sweet Husband's head and you'll see the snowball they threw at the window at me. Plus the one that already left its mark on the window.

After playing in the snow we worked on texturing the walls, 

if I remember correctly, my Sweet Husband also worked on the counter tops.

And I think he worked on a few other things.

So we had a very special dinner of McDonalds and watched If You Give a Mouse a Christmas Cookie while we ate. Then we read the nativity in our New Testament Illustrated Reader.

And quickly put Sweet Girl to bed because it was getting pretty late.

Even though it wasn't exactly how we planned, it was a wonderful day together as a family!

Santa came during the night and we woke up early Christmas morning 

and opened presents before church.

 Sweet Girl was so excited about everything, it was so fun!

 We had plenty of time, so if she wanted to play with her toys in between opening more presents we let her.

 

 Then we tried to take a family picture with the Christmas tree

and remembered once again we forgot to take it before we opened presents.. lol oops.

Also, sometimes your belly is so big that's all that makes it into the picture.

It was a wonderful Christmas morning with our little family!

Thanksgiving/Christmas Tree Hunt

Thanksgiving was DELICIOUS!

We had smoked turkey, which is my favorite way to have turkey!

And of course we had all the other wonderful things that go with Thanksgiving.

I am extremely grateful for these two!

We are also grateful for our extended family and friends! We are grateful for our Savior! We are grateful for His church! We are grateful from the blessings that come from His Gospel!

 After doing a little Black Friday shopping (we didn't go crazy early, but we did hit a few stores) we went and found our Christmas tree! It was so much fun and we found it pretty quickly!

I think Sweet Girl looks SO big in this picture!

 We saw this cuteness several times while we were at my parent's house.

The girls loved to play in the sand with Pa!

Christmas Day and Christmas Weekend!

Christmas was really magical!

I know I said it before, but it really was!

This first picture is of Sweet Girl freaking out over the Christmas Tree!

 My Sweet Husband hadn't been feeling well the week of Christmas, so he worked from home Christmas Eve. It was really nice! We had fun getting ready for Santa to come!

Sweet Girl had helped me make cookies previously and had helped with the treats we took to neighbors, so we used those for our treats for Santa.

We read her nativity book and put her to bed so she could have visions of sugar plums dancing in her head... lol!

The next morning she woke up at 6 sharp.. 

which is when she normally wakes up (we used to be able to set our clocks by it, seriously!).

I on the other hand, woke up pretty much every hour. I was so excited to see her face and experience Christmas through her eyes.

We brought her into our room before we headed out to see the tree and what Santa had brought!

She's not crying in this next picture, the lights were just bright.. lol!

Sweet Girl and Daddy waited at the end of the hall so I could record her running to see the tree and such.

She was SO excited!

She saw the presents and immediately knew what to do!

And got right to work.

But then we stopped her so we could open the stockings first.

It was really fun because she would open up one present and then want to play with it for a while.

We had quite a while until my baby brother called (he's on a mission and they get to call on Christmas), so we took our time and really enjoyed the moment!

Since she started right in opening the gifts, we took our family pictures afterwards.

We all decided to wear our footy pjs!

This Christmas we got to experience our first white Christmas!

It wasn't much, but it was really fun!

We made snow angels.

Afterwards we ate a delicious breakfast!

Then we got to talk to my little brother!

Then we got in the car and headed to my parent's house!

We were all spoiled!

The next morning my Sweetheart and I went on a run.

As we approached my parent's house this is what we saw:

Bahahahah! These folks were moving about a block away so they decided against taking the trampoline apart to move it, right before I snapped this picture the trampoline had fallen off the trailer, my Sweet Husband helped them get it back on the trailer so they could be on their way again!

It cracked me up!

It was such a wonderful weekend!

Sunday my Sweet Husband and my sweet brother-in-law had to go home so they could work.

While they were gone we had a bridal shower for my baby sister, stay tuned for that!

And for my Sweet Husband's big news!
