Girls Trip! Part 3

The original reason for the Girls' trip was to go to my sister's friend's wedding.

As it turned out, the wedding also happened to be my grandparents' 60th Wedding Anniversary!

It was perfect!

My cousin and my mom's siblings decided to have a little family party to celebrate!

It was SO much fun!

I got to visit with a lot of my cousins that I don't often get to see,

we had a great time eating, playing telephone, playing mafia, and catching up!

4 Generations! I figured we needed an updated one since the best of the last ones we took Sweet Girl's hand is covering her face!

 After church the next day we headed back to my parent's house.

Then we drove the rest of the way to our homes on Monday.

But first, we stopped at Grandpa's station to see him and his big trucks!

 The girls had SO much fun!

Sweet Girl loved driving the truck

and almost had a heart attack when Grandpa turned on the fire hose!

She sure loves water!

 Then Pa let her spray the hose! This picture makes it look like she was totally cool about the whole experience, but she was ecstatic! And kept asking for "more wader?!" Pa also helped her slide around in the water and she loved that too! She kept running back and forth from the "ducks" to the "wader"! If they had had birds, she would have been set for life, it was basically all her favorites in one place!

 I sat in the back with the girls for a little bit during the drive home because they were getting a little restless and we didn't want to stop again. At one point both girls were pulling my braids! Lol! Little Goof Balls!

It was a really fun week,

but it was also really nice to be home and be with my Sweet Husband again!

Girls Trip! Part 2

One day we went to a Discovery Children's Museum with my sister-in-law and nieces and nephews, it was SO cool!

Everyone had a great time, and I mean everyone!

Adults, children, toddlers, babies... everyone!

I wasn't sure we were ever going to get Sweet Girl out of the very first exhibit!

It was a beehive ball center!

 My nephew is putting plastic balls up air tubes like at a bank. The balls go up and come out in another area of the beehive. Sweet Girl is putting plastic balls into those holes and they come out on the other side of the plexiglass  into little sorting boxes.

 Eventually her cousins left and we coaxed her into seeing what else was there!

We played in a little kid area for a bit and then she noticed the water table (pictured later, we made several stops there),

 we went on a truck and visited a farm,

 made and ate food with cousins,

 practiced the piano,

 visited a construction site and built some buildings with cousins,

 tried to sleep in a baby doll bed,

 visited the water table,

 helped out the dispatch with an emergency,

thought about future careers,

 put on a play,

 and learned about our senses. It was so much fun! We didn't want to leave, but it was closing!

This was by far the coolest museum I've ever been to and I've been to quite a few and quite a few pretty awesome ones!

It blew me away though how much fun it was for everyone! I didn't even post pictures of everything we did because I didn't get pictures of everything because we were too wrapped up in what we were doing for me to remember to take a picture at times!

 The fun continued though! After the museum we stopped by my friend's house to visit with her and her husband! She's having a baby in July, I'm so excited for them! I can't wait to meet their little guy!

It's always so wonderful to see friends and family!

Girls' Trip! Part 1

My sister, niece, Sweet Girl, and I stayed at my parents house after our husbands headed home and then the four of us and our Mom/Grandma headed north for a few days!

But before we left, we enjoyed time with cousins!

 With Grandpa aka "Pa" (Sweet Girl calls him Pa).

 And "flying to Daddy" (that's what Sweet Girl told me she was doing).

 At a rest stop on the way we met our first ever zonkeys!

I sent this picture to my Sweet Husband and he said, "That's where I saw a donkey and zebra fighting!"... apparently they weren't fighting.. lol!

 We got to stay with my youngest sister and her husband!

It was so fun to see their apartment and enjoy some of my old college stomping grounds!

It was quite nostalgic!

Test Flight

Later this summer we are going to a family reunion,

the plan is to fly.

Since it is a pretty long flight, we decided we needed to have a longer practice flight under our belts.

So we flew to my parents' house Memorial Day Weekend.

It was a good flight! And we learned a few things (what we can and cannot pack).

 The views from above are pretty amazing!

And it's crazy how different they look from the ground!

 Sweet Girl didn't fall asleep quite as quickly as she normally does because she had already had her nap, but when bedtime came she had a hard time staying awake.

 This was one of my favorite things to see from above!

 Favorite: my hometown!

 We made it!

We have such an awesome pilot!

We love him so much!

We LOVE warm weather!

We love warm weather because it means we can easily play outside!

 Around my birthday my visiting teacher brought me a gift with a balloon in it,

Sweet Girl immediately claimed the balloon and would carried it around for the rest of the day!

 Warmer weather also means POPSICLES!

 And sidewalk chalk!

Sweet Girl loves to get traced and to trace everything

 including her baby!

 Warmer weather means walks/runs without blankets!

And it means we can watch the trains because we aren't freezing!

 Warmer weather means we can help Daddy fix the truck!

Sweet Girl played in the truck for a solid two hours this day while my Sweet Husband worked on it.

She loves to drive her "duck".

 Warmer weather means kites!

 Warmer weather means picnics!

This particular day we were at a rocket launching contests the local elementary schools do!

It was SO cool! We decided to make it a picnic since it was right at lunch time.

 Warmer weather means fun at the park!

 And last but certainly not least,

warmer weather means bike rides

and what can be better than bike rides with popsicles!

Warmer weather also means yard work (the kind in the actual yard and the kind at the lake, but both of those will be their own post)!
