Pumpkin Patch

For some reason I thought I was all caught up on blogging, then I looked at what I last posted and realized that I am actually WAY behind! So here we go!

The wives group with my Sweet Husband's work had an outing to a pumpkin patch in the beginning of October. We decided to go and I'm really glad I did. It was really fun!

Sweet Girl LOVED it!

The pumpkin patch we went to was really cute, they were really cute with the kids and they had a lot of fun things to do before it was our turn to pick out pumpkins.

First we started with a big blob thing we could jump and play on.

Sweet Girl was a little unsure of it in the beginning, but eventually liked it.

 They also had a little petting zoo, after we saw the animals it was our turn to go to the actual patch!

They take you on a hayride to the patch.

 Then they set the kiddos free on the patch.

I let Sweet Girl pick out her pumpkin... pretty much. I made sure it was a small one so I would be able to carry a pumpkin for each of us and Sweet Girl.. lol!

 She LOVED her little pumpkin!

She especially loved that she could carry it herself. 

 They put all the pumpkins in a wagon for us, I think Sweet Girl was worried someone was going to steal her pumpkin, she kept a close eye on it!

Afterwards she was so excited to show Daddy her pumpkin and each time we would walk out in the front yard she would go over to her pumpkin, pick it up, take it to the grass, throw it playfully down, and laugh! It was so cute! She would also pick it up and carry it around for a while, with the biggest smile on her face! 

Apple Picking

The company my Sweet Husband works for has a social group for the wives of the employees,

they do different things every so often.

A few weeks ago we went apple picking!

It was our first outing with them and it was a lot of fun!

Sweet Girl loved picking up the apples from off of the ground... lol,

some of the kids really loved picking the apples and would just leave them on the ground,

Sweet Girl thought that was great and would pick them up and put them in our bag!

She is so social, so it is fun to get out and get her around kids her own age! She loves it!

We made some yummy apple pies with the apples we picked!

Fire Station

We went to visit my parents last weekend.

We met my mom at my dad's fire station, so she could take Sweet Girl to their house and we could go to the temple. It was a beautiful session and we had a great time.

Sweet Girl had a great time at Grandpa's fire station!

She especially LOVED the big trucks!

She thought it was pretty cool that Grandpa let her sit in his seat and pretend to drive the trucks!

 She also thought it was pretty neat that you could see yourself in parts of the truck!

 It was a great weekend, we even got to do a little yard work!

AND I got to see one of my best friends and meet her new baby!

I love when it works out that we are both in town at the same time!

Subway

In June we went on the hike we had been preparing for! It was really neat! I'll be honest at the time I thought, I never need to do this again. Getting out of the canyon is a beast! But thinking back, it was so beautiful! And we had a great time!

While everyone went to the store to get a few last things for the hike, I went and visited one of my friends from college and her twin boys! Our babies got to meet for the first time, it was a lot of fun! I'm sure as they get older it will get more and more fun!

Our original plan was to go on two hikes that weekend, but we got up there a little later than planned, and decided just to do a little walk and ride the tram instead. My sister was using my phone and left this gem on it. So I thought I'd share it! I'd also like to give a shout out to my sister and my brother for the pictures of the hike, they took most of them with their GoPro!

Sweet Girl fell asleep on the walk.

 She woke up when we finished the walk,

she loves water,

I think she felt that there was water to play in and woke up to do so!

 That night we camped out by a lake,

that wasn't the original plan either,

we were going to camp on a friend's property,

but we couldn't find it.

Not for a lack of trying,

but we finally gave up because we were tired and super hungry.

So we took the only spot we could find.

It ended up working out very nicely, I think!

After breakfast, we went to the trail head.

This hike really had some amazing views!

As I mentioned before, this hike had a few rappels, this was the first one.

It also had water we either had to swim through or walk through.

The water was so nice after the hot sun!

In this particular picture, my little brother had just swam through a hole in the rock with his goPro on his head, we were all cheering for him!

Can you see why it is called the subway?

 Their goPro doesn't have a self timer so we would record a video and all just freeze when we wanted a group picture... lol! So these two pictures (above and below) are of a time when we were getting a group shot.

 In case you still couldn't see the subway-ness of the subway.

The hike is so beautiful, but since it's a slot canyon that you do the canyoneering and such through you hike into the canyon and hike out.... the out was TOUGH! It was straight up and super steep! I'm a bit afraid of heights, so at times my eyes were glued to the trail and I was trying my hardest not to look over the edge!

But we made it!
