Slowly but surely

I think the biggest piece of advice I would give to someone considering home improvement projects is:
projects ALWAYS take longer than planned
and that's okay.

We figured we could bust out the bathroom in a month...
we're in month four.
I think some of that is my fault, I can't help with a whole lot these days.
My sweet husband has been wonderful to me and won't let me do anything that could potentially cause any harm to our baby. He's the best!

I was able to help a little with the electrical work
(feeding it through to my poor husband who was in the attic).
My sweet husband moved the light switch so it is now INSIDE the bathroom,
one would think that light switches would always be inside the room they are meant for,
not so dear readers. Our switch for our bathroom was on the outside.
Granted it is fun to play tricks on people and turn off the light while they are on the john or in the shower,
but it can also be a bit annoying.
Thankfully, that is no longer the case in our home!
I am truly impressed with the tile work my sweet husband did!
Here is the shower:
Another thing we've learned from home improvement projects is that sometimes you can make yourself feel better about your attempt at whichever task you are tackling by looking at how a professional did it in a public place.
To feel better about your tiling skills, visit a hotel room and check out their tiling.
It's a fun game we play.
Maybe we're terrible people.
