I love the Fourth of July! In my hometown it's a big deal! It's always been that way. We're pretty cool, I mean come on we have a town water fight! It doesn't get much cooler than that! I am so grateful for the country that I live in. I think that's why I studied Political Science. I grew up listening to my Grandpa talking about how much he loved his country and he'd get tears in his eyes when he talked about it. The Fourth of July holds a special place in my family's heart, it's one of my dad's favorite holidays, and I think I could say that for everyone in my family. Maybe we're crazy, but I don't think so.I love the traditio
ns we have. And even though it's a million trillion degrees outside, I love Bunkerville's celebration of the 4th!

I thought I'd be able to let you see it larger, so I'll just add the pictures that I put in this thing underneath so you can see the picture that makes me laugh.
This one is of us after the watermelon eating contest and the egg toss (2009)... if you look closely you can see the aftermath of the egg toss (especially on Scott's shirt).
The reigning champions of the three-legged race since 2007 (they haven't done it since then) and we creamed everyone else! lol
Right before the watermelon eating contest 2008... okay what makes me laugh about this picture is that my little brother is licking his watermelon, apparently he couldn't wait to taste it!
