We thought about getting those pretty wooden blinds for our windows,
but I knew I wanted to make some curtains.
Especially since I'd already bought some fabric
and the paint colors were chosen based on that fabric,
we needed the curtains.
But I wasn't sure how I would like both.
Well, I cut out the first long curtain and couldn't decide what I would do in the kitchen.
So I looked up some curtain ideas online and found one I really liked.
The only problem was figuring out what it was called.
I don't remember how I figured it out, but somehow I did.
Then I found an awesome tutorial here
(which is actually a Martha Stewart tutorial they just copied and pasted onto their blog).
I also found this one with a little more information on the mechanics of it,
since Martha kind of leaves you at the critical moment.
Anyways, they are coming along,
slowly but surely.
I'm not usually a perfectionist when it comes to sewing,
but for this where everyone that comes to our house will see it,
I want them to look nice.
Which means a lot of seam ripping and measuring... lol.
But I think it is paying off.
Here is the installation:
I'm putting on the hardware to keep it up
Here they are up..
I excluded the left side because while it is up,
it isn't quite finished.
And down.
Ahh, I love the fabric
And my counter space!
It all looks so good!! I love the fabric you chose! And your view from the windows.
