Wow, I am SO behind! I am SO sorry dear readers! Hopefully there are a few of you left! I'm going to catch up over the next couple of days.
Both my parents and my sweet husband's parents love being grandparents,
sometimes my parents go through withdrawals and need to come see the grand baby
(I'm sure they all do!).
In this case my dad came on one his days off that happened to be during the week,
so my mom wasn't able to come, she had to teach school.
We enjoyed having him here,
and he really enjoyed holding the baby!
One of my aunts made his cute dress for our sweet girl,
she had to wear it fast before she grew out of it!
My parents gave our sweet girl these cute pjs
The next few are just cute pictures of our sweet girl, she is so happy and smiley these days!
We sure love her cute gummy smiles!
I love to watch these two together.
Yesterday, was one of my days to play the organ in Sacrament Meeting,
so I was up on the stand for the first part and my sweet little family was sitting on the second row right in front of me (makes it easier to not have to stay on the stand), I wish I could have captured the sweet moment I witnessed of my sweet husband smiling at our beautiful daughter. Heart melted!
This was my youngest sister's birthday, we wore clothes that reminded us of her!
We got to go to the temple with the youth,
they did baptisms and then babysat people's kids at the temple apartments so the parents could do a session together.
While my sweet husband was helping with the baptisms, we walked around the beautiful grounds.
Temple day was the last full day we got to spend together for three weeks!
My sweet husband had to go to Portugal for work, for three weeks!
It was similar to his Belgium trip last year, sans us traveling after his work stuff.
We decided it just wasn't practical for me to fly over with a two-month-old baby,
especially since they work 13+ hour days most of the time while there are there.
Anywho, the sweet baby and I went to my parent's house for the three weeks, it was a great time.
Before we left sweet girl helped me clean and pack up
by entertaining herself with her fingers.
Before this picture she had her entire fist in her mouth! Lol!
We were sure tired by the time we made it to my parent's house,
actually we got there in really good time.
Sweet girl slept for almost 4 hours on the drive and I think she would have kept sleeping had I not needed to use the restroom and pulled her seat out of the car to take her with me,
plus she really needed to eat. So I fed her and then we hit the road again and only stopped to get a drink and change a diaper the rest of the way! Sweet girl is a road trip champion, which you will continue to see!
This girl LOVES to wiggle!
I think she developed a defense mechanism so she won't get held all the time,
she'll start to fuss a little, but the minute you lay her down to wiggle, she is as happy as a clam!
Thankfully, she still loves to cuddle too!
We made a few short trips to run errands and things (in the big city 45 minutes away).
We also got to visit some friends, but I was silly and forgot to take a picture of us visiting one of my roommates from college. We visited with her while my parents went to the temple, then we went to Chick-fil-A for dinner. We also HAD to get some ice cream, have you had Chick-fil-A's ice cream cones? If not, seriously, get one, they are DELICIOUS!
She's getting so curious! It's so fun to watch her explore things!
She also talks up a storm these days! I think she has a little bit of her uncle in her,
he talked from Nevada to Massachusetts and back, nonstop I'm pretty sure!
While we were staying with my parents, my uncle's brother passed away, so we went to the funeral.
It was a very nice funeral, his kids told great stories, and my uncle did too!
She just looked so cute all dressed up, I had to take a picture!
She loves these ducky pjs, my mom showed her the ducks on the feet and the next morning she kept kicking her feet up and flexing them so she could see the ducks on them! It was so cute!
We were at my parent's over Thanksgiving (that's right, my poor sweet husband missed his favorite holiday! It was sad! He said the Portuguese pilots arranged a "turkey dinner" for them in honor of Thanksgiving, but my husband is pretty sure it was NOT turkey! Lol! But it was a kind gesture!)
I made her a cute little turkey bow for Thanksgiving.
My siblings that were at Thanksgiving, right before my brother had to go back to school.
He had to work the day after Thanksgiving.
The crew at Thanksgiving! Thanksgiving dinner was delicious, as was pie night the night before!
On Black Friday, I... wait for it... slept in! That's right, no ridiculously early shopping for me.
Actually, I've done the early shopping before and it was fun,
but I don't like how the stores open on Thanksgiving now! Let the people be with their families,
plus how is it Black Friday on Thursday.... sorry rant over.
We did go shopping, just not early.
We went to our favorite craft fair-Santa's workshop-and we went to Deseret Book and Ace.
Then we had our second Thanksgiving dinner since my Dad had to work on Thanksgiving, which I just realized I forgot to take a picture of, but it was also delicious!
The Saturday after Thanksgiving my father-in-law and brother-in-law were driving through with a moving truck for another brother-in-law's family.
They were so sweet and stopped by for lunch and to visit with us!
Technically, I think these pictures were from before Thanksgiving, but these family members came after too.
So, this is my sister with our sweet girl, the kids apparently wanted the baby to go on a safari with them! Lol!
These cute kiddos and their mom stayed with us on their way to be with their dad and grandparents for Thanksgiving (their dad is the brother-in-law that is moving, he has already moved and my sister-in-law and their kids will move up there too after Christmas, they wanted to wait until the break rather than changing schools right before) and they also stayed with us on their way back home.
They loved the light sabers
(or as they said it light savers and they called Yoda's light saber, "Toyota's Light saver", it was hilarious and adorable!)
Some of my friends also stayed at my parent's house the Saturday after Thanksgiving.
It was fun to have everyone there!
We had to get a comparison picture of these two cuties, they are only 6 days apart!
He is catching up in length but our sweet girl is still a bit chuckier!
Although you can't really tell with the sleepers on.
November was a great month, it was fun to spend time with friends and family,
but we sure missed Daddy!
I'll do a separate post about our house projects in November and December.
Stay tuned!

I love your sweet girl! All of these photos of her are so precious! Also, major kudos to you for driving on such a long road trip with a newborn BY YOURSELF. You rock! Seriously. :)

ReplyDeleteGosh, I don't think I've gotten a chance to catch up on reading your blog since sweet girl was born! Now she's practically grown up already! ;) haha, ok maybe not. But she's certainly outgrowing the newbie newborn stage already, and is so beautiful and bright-eyed and adorable! Looks like you've taken to motherhood wonderfully and enjoying every minute!!! :) Makes me so, so happy to read this (and all the subsequent posts too, I'm sure)!
