Focus

We had a good year. As I look back, I think of 2015 as good. Not that it was without its challenges, but overall, I think it is safe to say it is good.

I think I actually stuck it out with most of my goals this year, which I can't always say. I wasn't perfect, but I think I did pretty well! I had eight learning goals that I wrote about last year: to play the violin, to can/bottle food and make baby food, to wake up early and utilize that time, to explore different subjects when I read, to eat better, to control my attitude, to exercise more regularly, and to enjoy each day and treasure it.
1. I took lessons, although I need to practice more regularly
2. I learned how to can/bottle food and I came to the conclusion that it is a good skill to have, but I don't really like to do it.. lol.
3. I still need to work on waking up early
4. I struggle finding good books to read
5. I ate better, but I can always improve
6. Controlling my attitude is a work in progress... constantly
7. I actually have been exercising regularly! I have learned to enjoy running.. words I never thought I'd say!
8. And I did really well posting a picture every day!

This year my word to focus on is actually going to be Focus. I want to focus on the blessing I have, I want to focus on my family more, I want to focus on accomplishing projects, I want to focus on growing spiritually, and I want to focus on accomplishing my goals.
A few goals that I want to accomplish are:
1. Spend quality time with my Sweet Husband (not that we don't already) but I want to go on regular dates with him!
2. Spend quality time with my Sweet Girl and teach her and help her learn more. I want to put my phone down and focus on her while she is awake and do my things while she is asleep. I think this will be a balance thing, because I love that she can play by herself, but I don't want her to ever feel like I'm neglecting her. I hope that came out correctly.
3. I want to work on some crafting projects, but I also want to get our house finished this year.
4. I want to read the Bible this year, I've read the Book of Mormon many times, but I've never read the entire Bible (I also know this may take longer than a year).
5. I want to run a half marathon.
6. I want to blog more regularly (and to get caught up).
7. I want to think and speak well of people.

We'll see how it goes, I wish you well on your goals!

Here's to the new year! I hope your year is wonderful! Thanks for reading!
