I forgot to tell you that on day 3 my uncle that hiked in with us hiked out.
He was headed to Idaho to compete in a triathlon!
His brother, who happens to also be my uncle (they married my mom's sisters),
and his youngest son (obviously my cousin.. lol)
hiked in.
So on to Day 4!
We hiked out on day 4, so we had to pack everything up and head on out.
The hike out was a lot easier than the hike in.
Crazy how that happens.
I think the fact that our packs were significantly lighter helped a lot.. ;).
The gang all packed up and ready to go!
Our leaders
Breathtaking!
Seriously, he should be a hiking model!
Maybe I'm a little biased
Beautiful!
In the zone
Us with Red Castle in the background and the pretty river
The boys at "the first bridge"
aka: our first resting spot
A pretty view!
I love waterfalls!
I enjoyed seeing our long line of hikers.
This isn't all of them either.
My brother and my cousins at "the second bridge"
After I took the previous picture,
I had to take this picture.
I thought it was so cute!
My sister
My other sister
My dad and my uncle coming into the resting spot
My mom and dad at the first bridge
Our second to last resting spot!
My dad, mom, and brother making it to the trail head!
My sister showing off her back...
we all had plenty of this same problem going on, lol
Here we are after we finished.
So worn out!
The gang after we all finished!
Lol, we look so tired!
And hungry,
we drove back to Evanston and stopped at Wendy's.
I feel so bad for all the people there,
we smelled SO bad.. lol.
But we scarfed that food!
Even though we were all SO tired by the end,
we all had a GREAT time!
I know my sisters weren't so sure about the idea of hiking eleven miles
and fishing for two days straight but even they had a great time!
I love being with family and enjoying the beauty that Heavenly Father has created for us!
Thanks Mom and Dad for a great trip!
