Thank you?

I must start this post out with this statement.

I am in NO way fishing for compliments with this post. I just want to make sure I'm not crazy!

Yes, this has a story.

It all happened yesterday at work.

I work at an optometrist office. I am an optician. I help people choose their glasses, adjust them, order them, test pressures, etc. It was my turn (we have three opticians in the office, well four, but two switch days.. but that is besides the point), I went to test the pressures of a patient and then help him with glasses.
I test his pressures and help him pick out glasses, up to this point things are going okay.
It's time to pay, so I take his credit card to run it on the machine.
I walk away.
I come back and he asks me this:

"Do you get told you look like Lindsay Lohan all the time?"

These pictures run through my mind:



I want to ask questions like, "Are you serious?" or "Do I look like I'm stoned?" or "Am I wearing a prison jumpsuit?"

I resisted, I gave a little chuckle and said, "I've been told a couple times."
This is true folks, one other time someone told me I looked like a nice version of Lindsay Lohan.
I was wearing these sunglasses when I got that comment.

Either way, I still don't find these statements to be complimentary or nice... lol!

Again, this post is just for a laugh. It is important to laugh at the crazy things that happen in life. It also reminds me of a great quote that I wish I was better at living by.

It's by Sister Marjorie Pay Hinckley, she said, "The only way to get through life is to laugh your way through it. You either have to laugh or cry. I prefer to laugh. Crying gives me a headache." She went on to say, "If we can't laugh at life, we are in big trouble."

So true! So laugh and a have a great day!
