Rappelling and Climbing

To prepare for our hike in the national park we had to rappel, the hike we did had three or four rappels. So my Sweet Husband and I went a few times before. We also went with both of our families before since they were coming too, I wrote about those before. This particular adventure we did it without someone to belay us in case we ever had to do that on our hike. I was super nervous, heights aren't my favorite. But my Sweet Husband is very patient with me and helps me to realize that some fears are unfounded, when you do things safely. He showed me how safe it is and coached me down! He's so good to me!

So there is a broken off stump at the bottom and we tried to stay away from it so we wouldn't get hurt but my Sweet Husband lost his footing or something and bonked into it, cutting through the layers of clothing to his leg! He had a crazy bruise from it for a few weeks!

Apparently all of this climbing inspired Sweet Girl because she started climbing and pulling herself to everything! She is so strong!

We tried to put the pool noodles on to decrease the risk of injury, but she kicked them off.
And we have since taught her not to climb on the fireplace, or at least that she isn't allowed to climb on the fireplace. She still tries every once in a while but she knows she's not supposed to. She's funny and if we say her name because she's climbing, she'll quickly put one foot back down as if to say, "what?! I'm not doing anything wrong, see.. I have a foot still on the ground!"
