The Tender Mercies of the Lord

I love this video! It is one of my favorite talks.

One of my favorite features of the Gospel is that Heavenly Father has a plan for us, and while that plan is not always clear to us, He knows what's best for us, and someday we will see that plan. Another aspect I love is prayer and confirmations from the Spirit. Even though sometimes I question if we are in the right place or if I'm doing the things Heavenly Father would have me do, because sometimes I feel lazy and like I'm not contributing to our family the way I would like, Heavenly Father reassures me and helps me overcome those feelings. Another favorite is eternal families! I am so grateful for my dear sweet husband! I'm also grateful for our families and the love we feel and share with them! And of course, my Savior, I am so so grateful to Him! I am grateful that He understands how I feel and that He can comfort me when I need it! Or He can put people in my path that can help me, be it my husband, my friends, complete strangers, and sometimes other things that can help me: things like those mentioned in the video.

One tender mercy I love that helps me a lot is talents. I love to play the piano, it can help enhance a good mood, or help me work through frustrations so that I am in a good mood (pounding is quite therapeutic). Sewing helps me feel more creative. I love to cook and bake yummy food, and seeing my husband eat it up makes me feel good. All of these in my book are tender mercies.

Sometimes I think life starts to pass us by and we don't take the time to stop and be grateful, with Thanksgiving coming up, it's still a while but on my mind nonetheless, I realize that I need to be more grateful and understand that the things that I want to work out now will someday work out and that I need to be grateful for the blessings I already have in my life. Because I truly am very blessed!

What are some tender mercies that you see in your life?
