The weather here has been BEAUTIFUL this past week!
Yesterday we had a special stake meeting
(I'm not sure what to call it because it wasn't stake conference, we just had that, but Elder Jay E. Jensen of the 70 came for a Priesthood leadership meeting with Elder Richard G. Scott on Saturday and the First Presidency told them to attend a local stake, so Elder Jensen chose our stake, it was really neat!)
Our stake center is about 40 minutes or so from our home, we drive through beautiful mountains, especially at this time of the year because they are so green!
So we decided to take the back way home, we'd never done it.
On the way home we stopped by a touristy spot, we've gone several times before and have never seen a train on the loop.
When we got there there still wasn't a train, so we got in the car and started going again,
but just as we rounded the next turn we saw one!
So we turned back around and behold:
A train on the loop!
This is one of the 7 wonders of the railroad world!
Don't fall out of your chairs, I know this is BIG stuff! Lol!
It takes some 80 cars on the train for the train to loop itself,
so I was counting to make sure we'd be able to see it loop itself!
As you can see it did not disappoint!
Where the one is disappearing in the middle of the hill is where it loops itself, it goes through a tunnel under the other track and continues on down the hill.
It was fun to see!
And the weather was beautiful!
I'll blog about the rest of our weekend later, I need to start getting ready!
Have a wonderful day!
