I've been meaning to ask this question for a while now.
I'm sure there isn't one right answer to it either,
but I'll ask anyways.
When someone comments on your post, where should you reply?
Should you reply on the same post?
Should you reply on one of their posts?
I've been confused about this,
because I often don't check the same post to see if they commented on my comment...
but then some people don't have blogs, but still comment (which is wonderful! I love comments!).
Anyways, tell me what you think, please.

I've wondered that myself...Does blogger have a way to notify us of comments or is that just a facebook thing? :)

ReplyDeleteAnd yes, Blogger does have a way to notify of comments on your own blog. Mine sends it to my email address. Go to blogger, then go to settings, comments, then scroll down to where it says "Comment Notification Email" You just put in your email address and it will notify you when anyone comments on your blog.
Also, when I comment on other's blogs, I just click "Subscribe by email" so then I get notified whenever anyone makes follow-up comments on that post.

Awesome! Thanks! That was very helpful, and just what I needed to hear. I figured it was a little less confusing if you did it all in the same place, but I just wasn't sure if people come back and check to see if I comment on their comment if that makes sense. Anyways, thanks for the help!
ReplyDeleteinstead of replying... I just take the comment and assume the person knows I'll read it and appreciate it, cause all of us LOVE comments. So.. I guess it's teaching me to accept a compliment w/o saying anything in return. But if it's a question that someone asks on your post, I guess I'd just keep it in that same post... but no one has asked questions yet..
